This
is a 2-hour private pistol class for 1-2 students. It can be as basic
or advanced as you wish. I will tailor the
curriculum based upon your particular skill level and interests.
You are purchasing a 2 hour Private Lesson for 1-2 people. After your purchase I will contact you and together we will determine the structure of your lesson and schedule your class.
Prerequisites: None
Equipment
List:
-- For All Classes: Please bring
your own snacks, beverages, etc. Bring water; while we do provide water at all
of our locations, it never hurts to bring some more. Insect repellent is
appropriate for certain seasons or locations.
-- A good quality handgun,
suitable for competition, recreation, self-protection, and/or concealed carry.
You will be firing up to 150 rounds during this class.
-- Hearing protection
--- Eye protection. If you wear
prescription lenses these are normally sufficient.
-- Cap with a bill or
wide-brimmed hat
-- At least 150 rounds of decent
quality, reliable ammunition. Range ammunition (FMJ, etc.) is fine. We do
allow reloaded ammunition; however, for the safety of our instructors and
students, ANY problems with reloaded ammunition is grounds for that ammunition
to be removed from the class. This is solely at the instructor’s discretion and
is non-negotiable.
-- Sunscreen (a must in summer) and/or insect repellent as appropriate
-- Clothing suitable for the
weather and the range.
-- Raingear plus a light jacket
and sweater or sweatshirt (depending upon the season).
-- Firearm cleaning supplies plus
any tools / lubricants that you might need.
Depending upon your skill level or interest;
-- A good quality holster. You
need a strong-side, belt or inside the waistband holster. For safety reasons,
we do not allow the use of cross draw holsters, fanny packs, shoulder holsters,
etc. on the range. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
-- A minimum of 3 magazines or
speed loaders for your handgun and a magazine pouch/holder for at least 2 of
your spare magazines or speed loaders.
-- A sturdy belt, to support the
above. This is another area where you should not skimp—many people do. A good
belt will serve you well as the day progresses.
Please note that the above list
is just the essentials. You may bring additional items (such as a range bag,
extra magazines, folding chairs and tables, tarps, shooting mats, etc.), if you
choose.
If you have any questions, just
ask.
